Ronald Frankl is Managing Partner at LGP and heads the practice groups “Corporate, M&A and Capital Markets” as well as "Blockchain & Cryptocurrencies". He is registered as an attorney in Vienna and specialises in commercial and corporate law, international transactions, mergers & acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, banking and financial law, capital market and stock exchange law, as well as regulatory proceedings. Frankl is currently in the public eye due to his work for investors who have been damaged by the Optioment system. This is likely to be one of the largest criminal cases involving cryptocurrencies: a “made in Austria” bitcoin crime drama. Away from the glare of the media’s spotlight, Ronald Frankl has represented Austrian and international companies on matters such as company foundation, the structuring of transactions and capital market measures since the early 2000s. He has also acted on regulatory proceedings within the fields of capital markets law and stock exchange law. He is experienced in corporate criminal law and compliance, as well as in matters relating to legally secure communication. Ronald Frankl is an alumnus of the University of Vienna Faculty of Law (Mag. iur.), he is admitted to the Vienna bar association. He speaks German, English and French.
